Dato' Joseph Lim Heng Ee, is now a well-known figure in the green business scene, having built up his startup which focused on turning palm waste into revenue-generating bio-products since 2008.
Global Green Synergy Sdn Bhd (GGS), the company Lim founded together with Ngan Teng Ye, has now become a significant SME player in the local biomass sector.
The company converts palm oil waste (biomass) into palm fiber, palm pellet and other palm-related products. It also makes the machines that produce these products. After Lim won the prestigious World Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (2011-World Champion Winner) by Brussels-based Junior Chamber International in 2011, there has been no shortage of green jobs for GGS.

During the exhibition, we are deeply honoured that the Minister of MPIC, Dato’ Sri Douglas Uggah Embas and the General Director of MPOB, Dato’ Dr. Choo Yuen May have paid a visit to our booth, accompanied by our GGS Managing Director, Mr Joseph Lim.
In the three days of the exhibition, we have given all of the visitors best networking and information sharings, with everyday bringing new business relationships and opportunities in palm biomass industry. We await your next visit in our coming exhibitions.
The Malaysian Palm Oil Board International Palm Oil Congress (PIPOC), is a biennial event organized by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). PIPOC will once again be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), which offers a stimulating environment for conferences and exhibitions. PIPOC 2011 attracted more than 6000 participants and trade visitors from 58 countries and bore testimony to one of the world’s largest palm oil technical and trade congregations.
The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia – International Trade and Industry (ACCCIM-ITI) committee members were welcomed warmly to visit our GGS Bioenergy Plant on 19th Oct 2013.
In the effort of conserving our green planet, GGS held a recycling day at SJK (C) Jinjang Tengah 2 on 18th Oct 2013 (Friday).
Students of different ages had a great chance to learn and experience to categorize different materials, including papers, newspapers, magazines, books, aluminum cans, cardboards and boxes, etc. Teachers and GGS team quickly caught hold of this precious opportunity to educate the younger ones on how to categorize materials and to get them ready for recycling centres.

We’ll be having Mr Albert Law, our representative, presenting ‘the Optimization of Pellet Technology on Oil Palm Biomass’ on 22 May 2013 in Biomass Asia Conference held at Sunway Putra Hotel. It’s an exciting topic discussing how to convert palm biomass into valuable pellet to achieve great quality product without having long, or sometimes infinite, payback period.
